- Lägler completely migrates to Debian GNU/Linux
- Linux is becoming more and more popular in the business world and in the public sector. Companies are under increasing pressure to cut back costs and Linux is the cost-effective alternative to Microsoft products. What the city of Munich is presently implementing has already been achieved at the long-established company Eugen Lägler GmbH & Co., located in the Swabian town of Güglingen. The entire company IT, including the ERP system they used, was changed over to Debian GNU/Linux.
